It happens to all of us. We finally get to live in Playa del Carmen and we swear to go to the beach every day. Rain, shine or lightning, nobody is going to stop us from enjoying the Caribbean!
A few years pass and now we are parents of children who were born and grew up in Playa. However, these children may not be in love with the idea of going to the beach. Yes, it is possible.
If you are a parent and you do not know what to do with your kids over the weekend, we have good news for you! There are two amazing waterparks being developed, that will guarantee fun evenings for the whole family.
Wibit: A Floating Waterpark
A new aquatic park in the Riviera Maya is about to open, with an extension of 3,000 meters of inflatable games on the waters of the Caribbean Sea!
The new park will host several of the most popular beaches in Cancun and the Riviera Maya. In Cancun, they were placed in: Playa Langosta, Chac Mool, and Plaza Forum. In the Riviera Maya, you can find them in: Playa Mamitas, Playa Maya, and Playacar.
These recreational areas promise to be an additional attraction for families in the area. Moreover, these areas will have jumpers, slides, towers with climbing ropes, bridges, domes, curves, canals, and tunnels, among others.
Amikoo: Theme park based on the Mayan Cosmology
This park will be opening its doors in November 2018, with areas like the Museum of Mayan Anthropology and Archeology and Amikoo Downtown, which will have: hotel, restaurants, entertainment areas and convention center.
This theme park will also have Amikoo Park, an area with 24 latest-generation mechanical rides. If your children are in love with waterparks, we are sure they will enjoy Amikoo Surf Spot, as it is an ideal setting for surfing and body surfing.
So great news for families, the Riviera Maya is expanding the entertainment options focused on children.
